Description:

From the 1920's to 1940, Sears was shipping complete kits for building homes. The kit included all the lumber, drywall and bulding materials required to build a complete house. The lumber was precut, to reduce installation costs. In the 1930's a new concert hall and learning institution was being established in rural Falls Village Connecticut, and was in need of a concert hall and housing for musicians. This is brief story of how the paths of these to organizations crossed.
