Chapter 1: The month in summary
Look out the window astrogazers...notice anything different? If you like gardening, then it’s time to celebrate. The planets have decided that this spring, everything should be supersized! “Are you nuts?” I hear you cry, “How can spring be supersized?” Well, honestly, I don’t know but we’re about to find out!
Back in January, Jupiter (who loves to think BIG) slipped into the sign of Aries laying the seeds for new opportunities and growth in our lives. Now this month, a momentous event is happening: Uranus is joining Jupiter in Aries. So not only do we have Jupiter (a.k.a. the good luck planet) in the sign of Aries (representing Spring) but we have zany Uranus (all things electric, innovative, and unusual) mixed up in there too and this March, I suspect, it’s going to lead to something transformational.
Uranus is typically called a generational planet, because he moves so slowly his energy effects whole generations of people rather than just individuals. Indeed, he moves so slowly he’s going to be in Aries from March 12, 2011 until May 2018 (yes, that’s 7 years folks). Having Uranus in Aries is a BIG DEAL. He’s bringing to the fore powerful, creative energies that are going to surprise us, thrill us, push us in new directions and at times (sadly) disrupt us. It means there is no more time for daydreaming. If you want your life to improve, you are the person who is going to have to do it. Not someone else...YOU.
Signs most affected are Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius, but everyone will notice a rebound in energy or in those around them (unfortunately, you may have a few restless nights too). The good side to this astro-change is that you’re likely to make some real progress in any creative, technological or idea-related industry in which you work. The bad side is you’re more likely to take risks at a time when you really shouldn’t and struggle with more nervous tension than usual.
Having both Jupiter and Uranus in Aries is going to increase the power of our thoughts. So any negative or positive thoughts we have will be amplified. Instead of worrying or being pessimistic Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces, try to take advantage of the new moon in Pisces (4th) to make your world better, not worse. Now is a good time to put into action your promise for a little self-belief!
In summary: All gardeners should get the ground prepared and seeds sown in the first half of the month if possible. Fruits are favored now. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius - Life is flowing with you, not against you, so forge forward at full steam ahead! Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn - Take a chill pill! Your home life may feel tense at times but that’s only because you’re doing enough worrying for three. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius - Flying high on whizzy ideas is great but don’t forget to come back down to earth occasionally. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces - Changes at work or with your money are afoot! Embrace the change with an open mind and you’ll escape just fine.
