Chapter 2: ARIES

(21st March to 20th April)

Wow, are you the astro favorite this month or what?! As two of the planetary big hitters, Jupiter and Uranus, make themselves comfortable in your sign, you need to ask yourself “how can I best make use of this energy?” As ever with life, if you do nothing, then you’ll not be making the most of a wonderful opportunity. And that’s what this month is…a BIG OPPORTUNTY.

It is a fact that Uranus favors all those who display originality, creativity and a free and open mind. So think about what you could be doing in your life that is a little bit different from the status quo. Perhaps you need to rewrite your CV in a different way, or get busy revamping your website? Perhaps you’ve been feeling stifled in a relationship and now feel a need to express a side to your personality that others don’t know so well? Or perhaps you’ve got a great idea for a new invention that you’re just itching to make real? Interestingly, I imagine that there will be a number of you heading to the hairdressers to cut those luscious locks into a radical new style, making way for a bolder more assertive new you. That is, ultimately, what a lot of this month is about…YOU.

In our culture, we often feel under pressure to stifle our desire to put ourselves first, because it’s perceived as being selfish and a negative trait. Yet, suppressing your inner needs is not always a healthy thing. In fact, in relationships our partner often respects and desires us more if we look after ourselves first. Why? Because when we do that we feel much happier and fulfilled inside. Now I’m not telling you to stop doing your share of the household chores or to go and run up a huge credit card bill (!) I’m just saying that, within reason, listening to the inner you is a good thing. That’s what Uranus in Aries is telling you. He’s saying the only way to be deeply content is if you have been listening – truly and deeply – to what “YOU” is telling YOU.

If you do this, then there is the potential to grow your life in many different ways from now until at least June. I’m not talking about the small details like getting a new car or going on holiday, but rather the big things like your life direction, your sense of self, the people you love, your home environment and your career path. So start thinking bigger Aries, and keep your thoughts fresh and interesting. You might be pleasantly surprised by what results!
